Ron Wallace of Coventry, Rhode Island hauled in a 1423.5 pound pumpkin to win in Saturday's Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Championship.
Though it falls short of his world record pumpkin-growing performance with a whopper weighed at over 1500 lbs., he'll settle for a $3,000 prize and retention of the title.
